chapter 1 keeping God with you.

Once you’re a Christian there’s many things still to learn. In this chapter I’ll cover keeping God with you. Keeping God with you is something I struggled with a lot. Keeping God with you doesn’t mean keep God on your side it means, keep God in the center of your life. We often put God to the side but God is not meat to be put to the side. God is meat to be the center of your life. Because God is the only thing that matters if we didn’t have God nothing would exist. Your job doesn’t matter your sports doesn’t matter God is better than winning the Super Bowl he’s better than a one thousand run baseball game. Because there’s not even a number to identify Jesus he’s better than a trillion dollar’s. So do you keep God on your side think about this.

Chapter 1 believe.

The first step to be a Christian is believe. There’s more to this than just believe. Look you can think you’re believing but you’re really not. You can say you’re a Christian but you’re not. Also we can’t take breaks from believing. We can’t believe for a little while and don’t believe for a little while. We are to believe in Jesus from the day you’re born to the day you die no matter how long or how short that is. Also don’t give up don’t give up on the lord. Just because the way of God is hard doesn’t mean we can give up. I know the way of God is hard but if we give up we will face God on judgment day and if we don’t believe he will put us in hell.

Chapter 10 do not covet.

We need to start by why would we do this. We might do this because we want attention. We want to be the cool guy in town. You know what your be the cool guy in town if your follower of Jesus. Now we need to know how does this affect others. Well being jealous doesn’t mean to want things that your friend or someone has. It means don’t hate someone for having what you want. You can go up to a friend and say that’s a really cool bike i wish i could get one. You can’t go up to someone and say I really hate you for having that cool bike. So we need to be careful with this command.

Chapter 9 do not bear false witness.

We need to start with why would we do this. Well you may lie to earn respect. You may say to your neighbor I’ve got a lot of money in my bank account. What you just did is lie to your neighbor so he would give you more respect than everybody else. The thing is you can’t do this to God. God will always love everybody the same. Now we need to think on how dose God feel about lying. Well God hates lying you know why lying was the first sin. You know how much God hated the first sin and when he sees us lying or sinning it makes him very sad. So we need be careful of false witness.

Chapter 8 do not steal.

We need to start with what is stealing. Obviously stealing is taking something that’s not yours. I don’t know if you know this but ripping people off is stealing. Now that we know what stealing is we need to why would we do it. Well people are needy and want things. And we get tempted to just take it. I know you might feel happy at first but a little bit after you steal your start to feel really bad about it.

Chapter 7 do not commit adultery.

We need to start with what is adultery. Adultery is you wanting to marry someone other than your wife. Now we need to think on why would we do this. Well many people do this because they’re bored of their wives. They don’t like their wives. Also you can’t be married to your wife and be with another woman. Also adultery will affect your kids if they learn from their father and mother so they will think it’s okay to do this. So we need to be mindful of adultery.

Chapter 7 do not murder.

We need to start with why do people murder. A lot of people murder because they think whoever they killed doesn’t have a reason to live. This is why Christian’s are killed and why people get killed for no reason. Now we need to look on how do we learn murder. Now this is why teenagers and kids always get caught killing or hurting people. They learn murder from movies and video games. It seems like half of the movies kids and teenagers or watching or vary violent. Then they think if the movie has violence or murder in it it’s okay for them to do. Now video games same thing if they see it on the game they think it’s okay to murder. Video games like fortnight always have shooting or violence in it. So we need to beware of what we do.
